The SBU and the National Police have uncovered five new schemes to evade mobilization

Law enforcement officials have uncovered five new schemes to evade mobilization and have detained the organizers in various regions of Ukraine.

This was reported by the SBU.

According to the investigation, for sums of up to $20,000, the perpetrators offered conscripts a way to avoid conscription through forged documents or organized illegal travel abroad.

In the Kyiv region, a married couple was detained for arranging fictitious “inpatient treatment” followed by the issuance of disability certificates. They enlisted medical professionals in the scheme.

In the Chernihiv region, a neurologist was exposed for organizing fictitious hospitalizations and issuing certificates of unfitness for service in exchange for money.

In the Cherkasy region, a dealer was detained who sold forged medical documents and medical histories, using connections among doctors.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, an escape route to Moldova was uncovered, organized by a prisoner along with his accomplices. A taxi driver who transported the escapees and coordinated their routes was also placed under suspicion.

The suspects were charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The SBU and the National Police uncovered 8 schemes of evading mobilization in various regions.

Additionally, a court ordered the seizure of over 48 million hryvnias from an official at the Environmental Inspection.
