The SBU denies the destruction of its maritime drone by Romania
The Security Service of Ukraine has stated that it has not lost any maritime drones in the Black Sea and that they are all performing their tasks.
The SBU reported this in a comment to Suspilne.
The SBU said that all Sea Baby drones involved in combat missions in the Black Sea ‘continue to carry out their tasks in accordance with approved plans and objectives.’
‘None of them have been lost,’ they added.
The SBU also said that ‘none of the SBU's Sea Baby unmanned systems entered Romanian territorial waters’ and that its operations are carried out in designated areas and are aimed exclusively at striking legitimate Russian targets.
Prior to this, the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defence stated that military divers had ‘neutralised’ a Ukrainian Sea Baby maritime drone that was drifting in the Black Sea.
Sea Baby maritime drones struck the tankers KAIRO and VIRAT, which belong to the so-called ‘shadow fleet’ of the Russian Federation and were used to circumvent international sanctions on oil transportation.
