Sibiga announced that the active phase of diplomacy aimed at ending the war is approaching

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga expects international diplomatic efforts to intensify in order to bring an end to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

According to him, the peace process may gain new momentum in the near future, and political and diplomatic efforts will intensify in many capitals around the world.

Sybiga also emphasized the importance of U.S. participation in the peace process. He stated that achieving genuine peace without Washington’s involvement is unrealistic, while Ukraine’s contacts with the U.S. negotiating team remain regular.

The foreign minister noted that diplomacy is one of the key tools for ending the war. Among Ukraine’s priorities, he cited increasing pressure on Russia, countering its escalation, and advancing peace initiatives.

The day before, Sibiga called on European partners to intensify sanctions pressure on Russia, in particular through restrictions targeting the Russian military-industrial complex and industries related to ballistic missiles.
