Forecasters have warned of temperatures reaching up to +38° in Ukraine
A sharp rise in air temperatures is expected in Ukraine, reaching up to +38 degrees in some areas. The heat will also be felt in Kyiv, though temperatures there will be slightly lower—ranging from +32 to +34 degrees.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 27–28, some areas in western Ukraine will experience intense heat of +35°…+38°. This was reported by Ivan Semylit, a meteorologist at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
“On June 27–28, some areas in the western regions will experience intense heat of +35°…+38°. These will be localized spikes, but across Ukraine as a whole, we expect temperatures of +27°…+34°,” he said.
At the same time, it will be slightly cooler in the eastern regions of Ukraine—+23°…+28°.
Throughout the week, temperatures in the south of the country are expected to rise to +32°, and it will also be hot in Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia.
In Kyiv, temperatures are expected to reach +28°…+30° on Saturday, June 27, and rise to +32°…+34° on Sunday, Semylit said in a comment to UNIAN Weather.
As a reminder, the abnormal heatwave in Europe has led to at least 18 deaths.
