Syrsky surprised Ukrainians with a photo of himself with a dog
Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has posted his first photo since stepping down from his post. In the photo, the general poses with a black Staffordshire bull terrier, holding a toy bone near the dog’s mouth.
Syrskyi posted the photo on his Telegram channel, captioning it simply: “Now I can…”
Social media users took note of the general’s unusual appearance. In the photo, he is smiling and looks much more relaxed than he did while serving as Commander-in-Chief.

As a reminder, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Drapatiy, addressed the Ukrainian people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, replacing Oleksandr Syrskyi.
