Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to implement all necessary reforms to complete preparations for EU accession by 2027.
He announced this following a video conference with the leadership of the Dutch parliament.
During the conversation, the Ukrainian side emphasized the importance of the Netherlands’ support in the process of European integration.
Stefanchuk also expressed hope that the negotiation process regarding Ukraine’s accession to the EU would be unblocked as soon as possible.
According to him, Dutch partners noted the effective work of the Verkhovna Rada amid the war and confirmed their continued support for Ukraine.
As a reminder, the European Commission has outlined another condition for Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
Von der Leyen also assured that Ukraine would receive a loan from the EU.
