Stefanyishyna stated that she has no plans to return to public service
Olga Stefanishyna, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, stated that she does not plan to continue working in public service. She made this statement during a hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court, where a preventive measure was being determined for her.
According to Stefanishyna, her top priority right now is the safety of her family and defending her case in court.
“Right now, my plan is to ensure my family’s safety, avoid the threats that I and my family members are receiving, preserve their mental health, and defend my position in court. I also have future plans regarding my work, but for now they are not related to public service,” she said.
On August 6, the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a bail of 6 million hryvnias on Stefanishyna. Additionally, according to “Suspilne,” she is required to appear when summoned by NABU investigators, report any change of residence, and refrain from communicating with witnesses in the case.
According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Stefanishyna failed to declare two apartments in Kyiv, expenses related to their renovation, housing rent, use of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, as well as payments for airline tickets and her mother’s medical treatment.
As a reminder, on August 5, NABU and the SAPO notified Stefanishyna that she was a suspect in a case involving illegal enrichment and false declarations. Following this, the former official stated that she had “nothing to hide.”

NABU conducted searches in connection with the case involving Stefanishyna’s possible illicit enrichment.
