Svitlana Gorbatovska, an investigating judge at the Solomyanskyi District Court of Kyiv, ruled to extend the detention period for the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack in Bucha.
This was reported by the court’s spokesperson, Judge Viktoria Kitsyuk.
According to the ruling, the suspect will remain in custody until June 23, 2026, inclusive, and will continue to be held at the Kyiv Pretrial Detention Center.
“On May 20, 2026, Investigating Judge Gorbatovska of the Solomyanskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the suspect’s detention until June 23, 2026, inclusive, with detention at the Kyiv Pretrial Detention Center,” she noted.
As reported, explosions occurred in Bucha on the morning of March 23, resulting in injuries to two law enforcement officers.
The SBU’s Counterintelligence Directorate and the National Police of Ukraine announced the detention of a suspected Russian agent who is suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack. He has been formally charged, and a pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Law enforcement officers detained a suspect in connection with a series of explosions in Bucha within two hours of the incident.
As a reminder, a double terrorist attack occurred near a residential building in Bucha this morning, injuring police officers.
The SBU also reported that a woman from Kharkiv has been charged with luring police officers into a terrorist attack in Lviv.
