Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko commented on reports regarding the possible dismissal of Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi.

According to her, the rumors circulating in the media are not true. The head of government denied reports of possible personnel changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

What does the prime minister say about Lisovyi’s dismissal?

Svyrydenko stated: "You can rest assured."

Earlier, Lisovyi said he had not submitted a resignation letter. He also stated that the head of the Cabinet of Ministers had not submitted a motion for his resignation.

As a reminder, last week, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that changes in the government could occur this week. In particular, the issue of replacing Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi is likely to be considered.

Zheleznyak also wrote: if Lisovyi resigns, a new head of the ministry will not be appointed at this time. Instead, the acting head will remain in place. Discussions are ongoing regarding who might replace Lisovyi.

Oksen Lisovyi stated that no one has spoken to him about his possible dismissal.

The official made this statement at the "Education of the New Ukraine 2.0" conference in Kyiv, according to Interfax.com.ua.

Lisovyi explained whether he would continue to serve if dismissed from his post.

"There have been no discussions with me regarding dismissal," Lisovyi said.
