Fuel prices in Ukraine have risen: how much do gasoline and diesel cost at gas stations on May 25
As of May 25, 2026, fuel prices in Ukraine remain high, and over the weekend, the cost of gasoline and diesel at major gas station chains rose again.
This is evidenced by data from gas station chains.
Premium diesel became the most expensive type of fuel at the start of the week, costing over 92 UAH per liter at OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR stations.
At OKKO and WOG, fuel prices are currently the same:
- standard gasoline — 79.90 UAH/L;
- premium gasoline — 82.90 UAH/L;
- standard diesel — 89.90 UAH/L;
- premium diesel — 92.90 UAH/liter.
Prices are slightly higher at SOCAR:
- regular gasoline — 79.99 UAH/L;
- premium gasoline — 83.99 UAH/L;
- standard diesel — 89.99 UAH/L;
- premium diesel — 92.99 UAH/L.
UKRNAFTA offers the lowest prices among popular chains:
- regular gasoline — 74.90 UAH/L;
- premium gasoline — 76.90 UAH/L;
- standard diesel — 86.90 UAH/L;
- premium diesel — 88.90 UAH/L.
SOCAR sells the most expensive standard gasoline — 79.99 UAH per liter. At the same time, the lowest price is recorded at UKRNAFTA — 74.90 UAH per liter.
Thus, the difference between the most expensive and cheapest gasoline is 5.09 UAH per liter. If filling a full 40-liter tank, a driver could overpay by more than 200 UAH depending on the chosen network.
Premium gasoline is also the most expensive at SOCAR—83.99 UAH/L. At OKKO and WOG, it sells for 82.90 UAH/L, and at UKRNAFTA—76.90 UAH/L.
The difference between the highest and lowest prices for premium gasoline is 7.09 UAH per liter.
In May 2026, diesel fuel remains the most expensive fuel category at Ukrainian gas stations.
Standard diesel:
- SOCAR — 89.99 UAH/L;
- OKKO and WOG — 89.90 UAH/L;
- UKRNAFTA — 86.90 UAH/L.
The difference between the highest and lowest prices is 3.09 UAH per liter.
Premium diesel:
- SOCAR — 92.99 UAH/L;
- OKKO and WOG — 92.90 UAH/L;
- UKRNAFTA — 88.90 UAH/L.
The price difference for premium diesel between chains reaches 4.09 UAH per liter.
Based on calculations using data from four major gas station chains, average fuel prices in Ukraine currently stand at:
- regular gasoline — about 78.67 UAH/L;
- premium gasoline — about 81.67 UAH/L;
- standard diesel — about 89.17 UAH/L;
- premium diesel — about 91.92 UAH/liter.
Experts note that for drivers, not only prices but also loyalty programs, service quality, and the convenience of the gas station network are becoming increasingly important. At the same time, even a difference of a few hryvnias per liter significantly affects costs when refueling regularly or filling up a full tank.
Ukraine is beginning preparations to implement updated environmental requirements regarding the use of bioethanol in automotive gasoline. The reform involves harmonizing fuel quality standards with EU norms, modernizing laboratory control systems, and updating sampling rules.
