Teen Seriously Injured by Electric Shock on Train Roof in Borodianka

In Borodianka, a 13-year-old boy suffered severe injuries after being electrocuted while climbing on the roof of an electric train, the regional police reported.

The incident occurred at the station where the teenager attempted to climb onto a train connecting Teteriv and Sviatoshyn. Preliminary police reports indicate that the boy came into contact with high voltage while on the carriage roof. The electric shock caused him to fall to the ground, sustaining multiple injuries that currently threaten his health and life.

Medical personnel confirmed that the boy suffered extensive thermal burns over a large portion of his body, as well as head trauma and a fracture from the fall. He is currently under medical supervision at a hospital in the Kyiv region.

The Kyiv region police have launched an investigation to clarify all circumstances surrounding this emergency. Upon completion of the full review, authorities will provide the incident with the appropriate legal classification under Ukrainian law.

Police reiterated that railway areas are extremely dangerous and urged parents to closely supervise their children and continuously educate them about the consequences of risky behavior.
