The central branch of Ukrposhta in Borodianka, which had been destroyed by the occupiers, has resumed operations
In Borodianka, Kyiv Oblast, the central branch of the national postal operator “Ukrposhta”—which had been destroyed by Russian troops in 2022—has resumed operations.
Following the restoration, community residents can once again use the services of the central post office.
"The restored branch is now accessible to all, despite the steep stairs. Soon, the base for Ukrposhta’s mobile branches, which will serve the Borodianka district, will also return to this building. We have replaced or repaired the vehicles that were destroyed by the occupiers,” he wrote on Telegram.
In a press release, “Ukrposhta” reported that the branch’s restoration work was carried out under the coordination of the Department of Regional Development of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, funded by the reconstruction program.
"Borodyanka has become one of the most poignant symbols of Russian aggression in the Kyiv region. It suffered extensive destruction as a result of airstrikes and artillery shelling. The restoration of the post office is another step toward restoring the community’s normal life and public services,” the national postal operator stated in its announcement.
The company emphasized that plans are in place to establish a modern “Ukrposhta” logistics hub in Borodianka, which will include a base for mobile post offices and a postal depot. The creation of such a logistics hub will make it possible to speed up delivery and service for other surrounding communities.
Ukrposhta has resumed operations in Vyshneve and Kryukivshchyna.
Despite the damage caused by the attacks, Ukrposhta employees were able to quickly resume operations so that community residents would not be left without essential services. This was announced by Ihor Smiliansky, CEO of JSC “Ukrposhta.”
Ukraine has begun implementing large-scale projects designed to make water supply systems more resilient to war, shelling, and power outages. In 14 regions, water mains are being modernized, new equipment is being installed, and backup water sources are being established.
