In Chernivtsi, a woman gave birth right in an ambulance
In Chernivtsi, medical personnel delivered a baby right in an ambulance. The pregnant woman was brought to the base of Brigade No. 10 at 251 Ruska Street when it became clear she would not make it to the hospital in time.
The woman complained of lower abdominal pain that had lasted for over two hours. During the examination, the medical team determined that she was in active labor. She was 40 weeks pregnant, and this was her third childbirth.
The medical team assisted the woman in giving birth. A healthy baby girl was born. The delivery was attended by Dr. Maria Hnatiuk, paramedic Anna Muraru, and emergency medical technician Dmytro Prokopchuk.
Both the mother and the newborn were in satisfactory condition. After the delivery, they were transferred to a perinatal center.
