Assets worth millions were found in the asset declaration of an official from the Office of the Prosecutor General
The wife of Ashot Gevorkyan, head of a department at the Office of the Prosecutor General, reported significant changes in her financial status for 2025. Specifically, Alina Gevorkyan purchased a new Skoda Karoq crossover for 902,000 hryvnias, sold a Mazda 3 for 1.1 million hryvnias, and received 2.2 million hryvnias from the sale of real estate. The sale price of the previous car was nearly 2.8 times higher than its purchase price in 2022, and the specific property sold was not identified in the document.
According to the declaration filed with the NACP, the family’s main sources of income were the official’s salary from the State Administration in the amount of approximately 1.6 million hryvnias, as well as his wife’s income from entrepreneurial activities, her salary, and a gift of 150,000 hryvnias. The family declared significant cash savings: 77,000 dollars, 15,000 euros, and 100,000 hryvnias. Ashot Gevorkyan himself drives a 2022 Skoda Kodiaq, which is owned by a third party—Svitlana Dolgoruk.
Gevorkyan heads the Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office responsible for overseeing agencies that combat organized crime and protect investments. Previously, his wealth and career advancement had already attracted the attention of journalists due to discrepancies between the declared prices and the market value of his assets, and the official’s name was mentioned in public reports regarding the NABU “Carthage” case involving the alleged patronage of so-called call centers.

First Deputy Prosecutor General Maria Vdovichenko submitted her resignation. According to media sources in law enforcement agencies, September 8 is her last day of work at the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, who is implicated in the “Carthage” case, has reportedly also submitted his resignation.
Kipper is implicated in the new “Carthage” investigation by NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). Meanwhile, during searches at Vdovichenko’s residence—whose brother works in the Russian Federation’s prosecutor’s office—materials were discovered that may indicate surveillance of the leadership of anti-corruption agencies, their family members, and subordinates.
