In Dnipro, a 17-year-old girl passed on the coordinates of military facilities to Russia
The Military Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a 17-year-old local resident in Dnipro who is suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence agencies. According to the investigation, the girl was gathering information on the locations of Ukrainian military units, which could have been used to prepare new missile and drone strikes on the city.
According to the case file, the girl came to the attention of Russian intelligence agencies through Telegram channels offering so-called “easy” money.
After being recruited, she reportedly walked the streets of Dnipro and secretly photographed locations she believed to be the sites of Ukrainian military units.
She transmitted the collected information to a Russian handler via a messaging app.
This included, in particular, photographs and screenshots of Google Maps with the coordinates of potential targets marked.
The SBU stated that they had exposed the suspect at the very beginning of her activities.
Law enforcement officers documented her actions and detained her at her residence.
During a search of her home, authorities seized her cell phone, which, according to the investigation, contained reconnaissance photos and the coordinates of Ukrainian facilities.
SBU investigators informed the minor that she was suspected of violating Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
This refers to the unauthorized dissemination of information regarding the movements, deployment, or locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, committed under martial law.
This article provides for a penalty of up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The pretrial investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement officials are also considering whether to additionally charge the suspect under the article on treason.
At the same time, the final legal assessment of the minor’s actions must be made by the court.

The Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine thwarted an attempt by Russian intelligence services to carry out a terrorist attack in the Odesa region. In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, a Russian agent was detained who was planning to blow up an administrative building of a state institution in Izmail.
Earlier, in the Kyiv region, the SBU foiled a contract killing of a well-known public figure, which, according to the investigation, was organized by a Russian intelligence agency. A 19-year-old resident of Mykolaiv was detained while preparing for the crime.
In Kropyvnytskyi, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a local resident suspected of collaborating with the FSB and coordinating Russian missile and drone attacks on fuel, energy, and logistics infrastructure. During his arrest, two hunting knives were seized from the man, which, according to the investigation, he carried with him to potentially resist law enforcement officers.
Earlier, the SBU exposed and detained a Russian agent in Kharkiv who was helping the enemy target facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The detainee was accused of directing Russian attacks on the city’s military facilities.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region following an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
