Weather conditions in the highlands of the Carpathians have deteriorated sharply. Air temperatures in mountainous areas have dropped significantly, and in some places, thermometers read around 0 degrees this morning. The region is experiencing a cold snap and challenging weather conditions.
According to rescue workers, residents and visitors to the region should be especially cautious today, as weather conditions in the highlands of the Carpathians have deteriorated significantly.
As of 8 a.m. on June 12, 2026, it was cloudy and foggy on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi. It was raining. A northwesterly wind was blowing at a speed of 12 meters per second. The air temperature had dropped to 0°C.
