In Kharkiv, a man detonated a grenade near a supermarket
An explosion occurred near a supermarket in Kharkiv, after which law enforcement officers detained a 32-year-old man suspected of detonating a grenade.
This was reported on Telegram by the Kharkiv Regional Police.
The incident occurred on the evening of April 26 on Traktorobudivnykiv Avenue. The police received a report of an explosion near a store.
“On the evening of April 26, the police received a call about an explosion near a store on Traktorobudivnykiv Avenue,” the Kharkiv Regional Police reported.
During an inspection of the scene, the investigative team documented damage to the supermarket’s glass doors. Components of an UZRGM hand grenade fuse were also found.
A few hours later, investigators identified and detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 32-year-old local resident.
The man has been notified of charges under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). He faces 3 to 7 years in prison.
As a reminder, on the evening of Sunday, April 26, a shooting occurred at the “Historical Museum” metro station in Kharkiv. The incident was caused by a man under the influence of alcohol.
