In Kharkiv, an intoxicated man opened fire in the subway

On the evening of Sunday, April 26, a shooting occurred at the "Historical Museum" metro station in Kharkiv. The incident was caused by a man under the influence of alcohol.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram.

According to preliminary data, at around 9:10 p.m., a 20-year-old man fired a single shot into the air from a starter pistol.

“According to preliminary data, on April 26 at around 9:10 p.m. at the “Historical Museum” metro station, a 20-year-old man, while intoxicated, fired a single shot into the air from a starter pistol,” the statement reads.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, and no damage to infrastructure was reported.

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating all the circumstances of the incident and gathering evidence.

“The preliminary legal classification is hooliganism (Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The Slobidska District Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv will oversee the proceedings,” the prosecutor’s office noted.

Earlier, law enforcement officers detained a 35-year-old man who fired a shot on Shukhevych Street on the afternoon of April 24, causing alarm among residents. As patrol officers and the investigative team determined at the scene, the suspect used a starter pistol, firing at the asphalt pavement.

A shooting occurred in one of the apartments of a high-rise building in Lviv. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene promptly. Police detained a man suspected of firing the shots. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.

In Zakarpattia, police are trying to locate the parents of a ninth-grader who opened fire at a school and wounded another student. According to law enforcement, the teenager is currently refusing to speak with psychologists.
