A scheme involving the sale of humanitarian aid vehicles via TikTok has been uncovered in Kyiv

In the capital, law enforcement officials uncovered a scheme involving the illegal sale of vehicles imported into Ukraine as humanitarian aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were subsequently sold through online platforms and TikTok.

According to the investigation, the man purchased vehicles imported as humanitarian aid with exemption from customs duties, even though such cars are not legally permitted for sale.

He then listed them for sale on a car marketplace and advertised them on TikTok, attracting potential buyers through social media.

Law enforcement officials documented the sale of four vehicles that had been imported as humanitarian aid, totaling $17,000.

The vehicles in question are Audi, SsangYong, Skoda, and Mercedes-Benz models. All vehicles have been seized.

Under the procedural guidance of the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, a 25-year-old resident of the Kyiv region has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—the illegal sale of humanitarian aid imported for the needs of national defense and military formations.

The investigation is currently identifying other individuals involved in the scheme.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
