In Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, the body of a newborn baby showing no signs of life was found at a landfill. Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

According to law enforcement officials, on July 7, police received a report that the body of a newborn had been found at a landfill in Kremenchuk.

 

An investigative team and specialists from the forensic laboratory promptly arrived at the scene and are conducting the necessary investigative procedures.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the infant’s death and identifying individuals who may be involved in the incident.

Police noted that initial investigative and operational-search measures are ongoing. Other details of the investigation are not being disclosed at this time.

Earlier in the Rivne region, law enforcement officers arrested a 39-year-old woman suspected of trafficking her own children and involving her underage daughter in the sale of psychotropic substances. According to the investigation, the woman planned to receive 60,000 hryvnias for handing over three children to be used for begging.

Earlier in the Volyn region, law enforcement officers exposed a 39-year-old woman who attempted to sell her own six-year-old son. According to the investigation, she planned to receive $25,000 for the child.

In Zaporizhzhia, law enforcement officers exposed a 22-year-old woman suspected of selling her own one-month-old daughter. According to the investigation, the child was handed over to another woman in exchange for money and additional “services.” The infant is currently safe, and the mother faces up to 15 years in prison.
