In Lviv, 21 children were hospitalized over the course of a month and a half after riding electric scooters

In Lviv, during June and the first two weeks of July, 70 children who were injured while riding electric scooters sought treatment at hospitals. Of these, 21 children were hospitalized due to serious injuries.

According to the Lviv City Council, 33 of the injured were transported to medical facilities by emergency medical teams.

“Of these, 33 were transported by ambulance, while 37 sought medical attention on their own. Doctors had to hospitalize 21 children with severe injuries,” the statement reads.

Medical professionals note that all victims received the necessary care, and 21 children required hospitalization due to the severity of their injuries.

This was reported by the Lviv City Council on July 14.

As a reminder, on July 3, a bill was introduced in the Lithuanian Seimas that would impose stricter liability on owners of high-powered electric scooters and electric bicycles. Specifically, vehicles could be confiscated for lack of mandatory registration and insurance.
