"There are over 100 drones in the sky, and new waves of attacks are on the way," Zelenskyy said
On the night of May 13, 2026, Russian occupation forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian regions, deploying over a hundred drones.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the enemy is deliberately targeting railway infrastructure, energy facilities, and civilian buildings.
Ukrainian defense forces demonstrated high effectiveness in repelling the air attack.
“As many as 111 drones have been shot down and neutralized just last night,” the head of state said in his address.
However, the threat remains, as new waves of attacks are possible throughout the day.
Four regions suffered the most damage last night.
In the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, strikes on residential buildings and railway hubs were recorded; in the Odesa region, the enemy again attacked port infrastructure; and in the Poltava region, energy facilities came under fire.
Unfortunately, the president confirmed that there were casualties among the civilian population.
“There are now more than a hundred Russian drones in our skies, and there may be more waves of drone attacks throughout the day,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned.
He emphasized that Russia becomes more brutal every time the topic of the war disappears from the global media, which is a direct signal to the international community not to reduce its support.
Zelenskyy also called on Ukrainian diplomats to expedite the implementation of agreements regarding the supply of air defense systems as much as possible.
According to the president, only daily readiness to defend and active cooperation with partners can stop Russian terror against the civilian population.
