Power has been partially restored in Sevastopol following a widespread blackout

In occupied Sevastopol, power has been partially restored in a number of districts following a large-scale blackout that occurred as a result of the events of the night of June 24.

According to Razvozhayev, power engineers have restored electricity to outlying areas, including the North Side, Inkerman, Kacha, a number of villages, and part of the Sevastopol area on the southern coast of Crimea.

He stated that specialists are working around the clock.

“Power engineers have been working nonstop since the attack; the task is difficult,” he said, urging residents to “be patient.”

According to him, the situation in the Leninsky and Gagarin districts remains the most difficult.

“There will be no electricity until this evening; specialists are doing everything possible to restore power as quickly as possible,” Razvozhayev said.

Earlier this morning, the occupying authorities reported a complete power outage in the city following the night’s events.

According to local Telegram channels, several explosions and a fire were reported at Sevastopol’s main substation, with smoke visible from a considerable distance.

The Ukrainian side has not yet officially commented on these events.

At the same time, it is reported that in the temporarily occupied Crimea in recent weeks:

  • there have been power outages
  • restrictions on gasoline sales are in place
  • rolling blackouts have been implemented
  • the strain on logistics routes is increasing
  • queues are forming near the Kerch Bridge

There are also reports that some children’s health camps on the peninsula will have reduced operating hours this summer.

This was stated by Mikhail Razvozhayev, head of the city’s occupation administration.

As a reminder, on the night of June 24, a series of explosions was recorded in occupied Crimea in areas stretching from Simferopol to Sevastopol. Fires broke out in several locations following the intervention of Russian air defense forces and mobile firefighting units.
