A balcony collapsed in Sevastopol while children were on it
In occupied Sevastopol, during a traditional graduation photo session, the balcony of School No. 13 collapsed, along with the children who were standing on it.
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation on Telegram.
As a result of the incident, the students sustained serious injuries of varying severity, including fractures and traumatic brain injuries.
Currently, two of the injured children are in the intensive care unit in serious condition, and law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The building’s structure collapsed despite the fact that, according to official documents from the occupying administration, the school underwent “major renovations” last year.
The occupiers allocated over $2 million from the budget for the renovation work, yet the balcony collapsed just one year after all restoration work was completed.
This caused a significant outcry and a wave of outrage among the local population.
Analysts at the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council responded to the tragedy and pointed to the rampant corruption and negligence of Russian puppets on the peninsula.
“Crimea has been under Russian occupation for 12 years. During this time, the occupying authorities have failed to ensure even basic safety and proper maintenance of school infrastructure,” reads an official statement from the Center on Telegram.
