In Ternopil, an armed man has barricaded himself in an apartment with a woman; law enforcement officers are on the scene.
According to law enforcement officials, police are still on the scene, and negotiations with the man are underway.
“Police are on the scene,” confirmed a spokesperson for the National Police.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict in the apartment has been ongoing since last night. Local residents also report that they allegedly heard gunshots.
There is currently no official information regarding any casualties.
Law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene and are attempting to resolve the situation without escalation. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
