A pilot summer camp was held in Vienna for 30 children from the families of employees at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

The project was implemented as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced the successful completion of the program.

According to the head of Ukraine’s foreign ministry, the goal of the initiative was to give the children of specialists who ensure nuclear safety in Ukraine the opportunity to enjoy a safe environment, make new friends, and spend time carefree. Andriy Sibiga expressed his gratitude to IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Raisinger for their support and implementation of the project, and also expressed his hope that this program would continue in the future.
