In Zhytomyr, 13 schoolchildren were honored for reporting to law enforcement authorities attempts by Russian intelligence services to recruit them. The students were recognized for their conscientious actions and for promptly informing the police about suspicious contacts. The investigation into the incidents is ongoing.
This was reported on Facebook by the SBU Office in Zhytomyr Oblast.
“Six girls and seven boys became the targets of Russian handlers. The occupiers sought to draw the children into sabotage activities in the region via social media and messaging apps, promising easy money. The teenagers were sent detailed instructions, and the handlers attempted to exert psychological pressure,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the students refused to carry out the tasks assigned by the Russian FSB and turned to Ukrainian law enforcement.
All 13 students were awarded by the SBU and the National Police as part of the nationwide information campaign “Burn the FSB Agent.”
