A Ukrainian man attempted to travel abroad using a Syrian passport

A 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen attempted to leave the country using a Syrian passport, but border guards uncovered the violation. The man then offered a female officer of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine $3,000 to allow him to cross the border unimpeded.

According to border guards, the officer refused the money and documented the attempted bribery.

The incident was reported to officers of the National Police of Ukraine.

The State Border Guard Service emphasized that offering an unlawful benefit to a public official is a criminal offense.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.

Earlier, a 30-year-old resident of the Vinnytsia region, suspected of organizing the illegal smuggling of men across the state border, was extradited to Ukraine. Upon his return, he was taken into custody.

Earlier in Kharkiv, an officer at the headquarters of one of the Ukrainian National Guard’s special operations battalions was notified of his status as a suspect in organizing the illegal smuggling of a conscript across the border.

The SBU notified a Russian intelligence officer of the charges against him for recruiting teenagers to carry out sabotage operations.

As a reminder, the SBU detained a woman suspected of working for Russian intelligence services.

The SBU also uncovered new schemes to evade mobilization throughout Ukraine.
