On August 7, several regions of Ukraine will experience severe weather
On August 7, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls of up to 15–20 m/s are expected in Ukraine. According to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, an elevated danger level has been declared in the western and northern regions, as well as in the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions, following a period of intense heat.
“On the afternoon of August 7, thunderstorms are expected in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions, with hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s in some areas,” forecasters predict.
A Level I (yellow) danger alert has been issued for these regions, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to data from the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the average monthly air temperature in Kyiv in July was 20.8°C, which is 0.5°C below the climatic norm.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a warning about heat reaching 38° and a fire hazard.
