Ukrposhta is investigating suspicious shipments addressed to NABU officials and SAP employees
As of September 15, JSC “Ukrposhta” is investigating the circumstances surrounding the mailings through which, according to suspended Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, notices of suspicion were allegedly sent to the NABU and the SAP.
Ihor Smiliansky, CEO of Ukrposhta, stated that the copies of receipts published by Kravchenko show that the shipments were paid for in cash at a post office, whereas the agreement between “Ukrposhta” and the Office of the Prosecutor General stipulates non-cash payment. According to him, the company has requested official clarification and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the processing of these mailings.
Smiliansky also noted that the Office of the Prosecutor General had previously stated that there were no grounds under the Criminal Procedure Code for notifying anyone of suspicion within the framework of the relevant criminal proceedings. The prosecutor’s office described the claims regarding the alleged notification of suspicion as legally meaningless.
“Ukrposhta” emphasized that further processing of the shipments will be carried out in accordance with the law, the rules for providing postal services, and established procedures.
The company also noted that the secrecy of correspondence is guaranteed by Article 31 of the Constitution of Ukraine and protected by law. In this regard, Ukrposhta must take these requirements into account when disclosing information and providing comments regarding mail items.

Earlier, Kravchenko released the second part of the recordings in the Kryvonos case.
On September 14, suspended Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko published a screenshot of a mail tracking record containing a notice of suspicion addressed to NABU Director Semen Kryvonos.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko stated that he is abroad on an official business trip.
The Anti-Corruption Action Center claimed that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko allegedly left Ukraine after signing the notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. The Anti-Corruption Center claims that this may have been done in exchange for the opportunity to leave the country.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have denied Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s statements regarding the alleged notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and offers of immunity.
