Ukrvetsanzavod may have caused the state more than 3.4 million hryvnias in losses due to waste disposal
Officials at the state-owned enterprise “Ukrvetsanzavod” are suspected of providing certain companies with animal waste disposal services at a price hundreds of times lower than the regulated rate. According to the investigation, this may have caused the state to suffer losses of more than 3.4 million hryvnias.
Between 2023 and 2025, the enterprise entered into contracts with certain companies to dispose of waste for 1 hryvnia per metric ton. At the same time, the regulatory rate for such a service was at least 900 UAH per metric ton, and the price was not reduced for other clients.
In this way, certain companies received unjustified advantages.
Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor’s Office of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the restructuring manager of the state-owned enterprise “Ukrvetsanzavod” was notified of the charges against him. The charges previously brought against the former director of the enterprise’s Tulchyn branch were amended.
It has been established that the suspects acted in concert. They are charged with abuse of official position, committed by a group of individuals acting in prior conspiracy, which caused serious harm to state interests (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of imposing preventive measures on the suspects and compensating for the damage caused is currently being resolved.
