The government has expanded the capabilities of the online marriage service on Diia
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution expanding the capabilities of the “Marriage Online” service within the “Diya” app.
From now on, the service will be available to Ukrainian citizens whose previous marriage ended due to the death of one of the spouses.
The service will also be adapted for people with hearing or speech impairments. When submitting an application, users will be able to indicate the need for a sign language interpreter, who will join the video conference.
In addition, international delivery of marriage certificates to 48 countries worldwide is being introduced. The service will be rolled out in phases: first to neighboring countries, and later to European countries and the United States.
All new features are scheduled to be implemented by the end of 2026.

As a reminder, the “Diya” app has launched the option to apply to port a mobile number to lifecell while retaining the number and carrier code.
