On Saturday, June 6, warm weather will continue in Ukraine, with temperatures reaching up to 29 degrees Celsius. At the same time, forecasters are predicting rain and thunderstorms in several regions.
The highest temperatures are expected in the south and east of the country, where the air will warm up to 29 degrees.
In the western regions, it will be slightly cooler—ranging from 22 to 24 degrees.
Overall, cloudy weather with some sunny breaks is forecast across Ukraine.
According to forecasters, precipitation is expected mainly in the western part of the country.
Specifically, the western regions will see moderate, and in some places heavy, rain with thunderstorms; in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Chernivtsi regions, rain is forecast during the day, while no significant precipitation is expected in the rest of Ukraine.
In addition, fog is possible in some areas of Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia at night and in the morning.
In the capital, the air temperature at night will be +17…+19 degrees, and it will warm up to +26…+28 degrees during the day.
In the afternoon, moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible in Kyiv.
Winds will be variable, with speeds of 3–8 meters per second.
Due to the forecasted rains on June 6–8, water levels in the left tributaries of the Dniester in the Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions may rise by 0.2–0.7 meters.
Experts note that no negative consequences are expected, but significant local runoff may occur during heavy local downpours.
Overall, the weekend in Ukraine will begin with true summer warmth, but residents of western and parts of central regions should be prepared for brief rains and thunderstorms.
