Wet snow is expected in Ukraine on April 8–9
According to weather forecaster Natalka Didenko, a cold front is expected to cross Ukraine in the coming days, bringing a significant deterioration in weather conditions.
As early as April 8–9, wet snow is expected in most regions amid a sharp drop in air temperature.
According to meteorologists, on April 7, most of the country will be under the influence of a cold air mass.
Daytime temperatures will drop to +6...+9 °C, and only in the south and east will it remain warm, up to +13 °C; however, the cold snap will reach these areas the very next day.
In the capital, on April 7, the air temperature will only reach +7...+9 °C, accompanied by intermittent rain.
A strong northwesterly wind will make it feel colder, so forecasters advise Kyiv residents not to rush to put away their warm clothes.
“The most uncomfortable aspect of the upcoming weather will be strong northwesterly winds, with storm-force gusts of up to 15–20 meters per second in some areas tomorrow,” Didenko emphasized in her statement.
She also added that the return of true spring warmth is not expected until April 14-15 at the earliest.
As a reminder, the second week of April in Ukraine will be marked by a gradual cooling trend with snow and frost.
Also, on Palm Sunday, April 5, truly comfortable spring weather settled across the entire territory of Ukraine.
