Passport services in Ukraine will not be accepting citizens until the end of September

Ukrainians have been notified of a temporary suspension of in-person services at “Passport Service” offices. Services will be suspended starting September 28. However, citizens will still be able to pick up documents that have already been processed and are ready for issuance.

On which days will the offices be closed to the public?

The state-owned enterprise “Document” stated that “Passport Service” offices will not be accepting the public for the time being.

“Due to scheduled technical maintenance,” they explained to Ukrainians.

Therefore, do not expect to be seen on the following days:

• Monday, September 28;

• Tuesday, September 29;

• Wednesday, September 30.

How to Pick Up Your Completed Document

According to information from the state-owned enterprise’s press office, the changes will not affect Ukrainians who need to pick up documents they ordered earlier.

“The issuance of completed documents will take place according to the regular schedule,” explained the state-owned enterprise “Document.”

Will appointments in the electronic queue be canceled?

It is also reported that all appointments in the electronic queue remain valid.

However, appointments will be rescheduled for a time that is more convenient for people.

“Our specialists will contact you to schedule a new date and time for your appointment,” the state-owned enterprise “Document” explained to citizens.

Finally, the state-owned enterprise apologized for the situation.

“We apologize for the temporary inconvenience,” the press service concluded.

What the State Migration Service of Ukraine Said About the Situation

The press service of the State Migration Service of Ukraine reported that access to some of the SMS’s information and telecommunications systems is temporarily restricted.

“This is due to a technical malfunction in the equipment of the electronic communications service provider that ensures the operation of communication channels,” they explained to citizens.

For this reason, passport processing services will be temporarily unavailable (from September 28, 2026, to September 30, 2026).

In addition, the State Migration Service’s official website has been suspended for the duration of the operator’s restoration work.

“Please take this information into account, and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience,” the agency’s press office concluded on Facebook.
