More than 800 digital officers have already been appointed in Ukraine

The appointment of digital officers is ongoing in Ukraine: so far, more than 800 specialists have been appointed to these positions out of the planned 2,000. In addition, the first 35 digital transformation leaders in the Defense Forces have successfully completed a two-month training program at the CDTO Campus. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense on Friday.

"These specialists are responsible for ensuring that digital tools, in particular 'Army+', Delta, and electronic document management, work effectively in practice directly within units, strengthening Ukraine’s technological advantage on the battlefield," the Ministry of Defense stated.

The program was structured around three components: strategic foundations, competency development, and leadership. The instructors included approximately 40 practitioners from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the security and defense sector, the IT community, and the analytical community.

At the end of the course, participants successfully presented their visions for the digital development of their units.

"Today, the military is actively deploying systems for personnel management, logistics, document flow, and combat operations, and it is digital officers who ensure that these solutions work in practice and meet the needs of service members,” noted Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization.

The program was implemented as part of the Faculty of Digital Transformation in the Defense Forces—a joint initiative of the Ministry of Defense and CDTO Campus. The training lasted two months.

The project was implemented by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in collaboration with the BRDO Office of Effective Regulation, with support from the German Ministry of Defense.

Recruitment for the faculty’s upcoming programs will be conducted on a closed basis.

The Faculty of Digital Transformation is an educational track for specialists who implement digital solutions in the military. It was created as part of the national educational project CDTO Campus with the aim of training specialists in IT, analytics, and management who accelerate the digitalization of military units.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry of Defense will seek 617 million hryvnias in court for breached contracts.

Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense certified and approved the domestic unmanned aerial vehicle system “Volynaka” for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Shablya MK19(M) remotely controlled combat module for use by the military. It is equipped with an MK19 40mm automatic grenade launcher.
