A new mobile carrier, U Mobile, has launched in Ukraine
U Mobile, a virtual mobile operator, has launched in Ukraine—a new brand of TriMob LLC, founded by Ukrtelecom. The company operates as an MVNO, using the networks of other mobile operators under commercial national roaming terms.
U Mobile offers two rate plans, and users can sign up using either a physical SIM card or an eSIM.
What plans does U Mobile offer?
At launch, U Mobile offers two rate plans: “Seven 15” and “Seven 60.”
“Sima 15” includes 15 GB of mobile data, while “Sima 60” includes 60 GB. Both plans include 500 minutes of calls within Ukraine and 15 SMS messages.
You can activate these services using a physical SIM card or an eSIM. On the U Mobile website, subscribers can choose a phone number, a plan, and the service period.
How Prepaid Works
U Mobile offers payment for services in advance for one, three, six, or 12 months. The cost of service depends on the selected prepaid period: the longer the period, the lower the monthly cost.
The carrier also bills on a calendar-month basis rather than a four-week period.
Subscribers of other mobile carriers who port their number to U Mobile are eligible for a 15% discount on their first selected period.
U Mobile can be combined with home internet
The “Simka 60” plan is also available as part of the “Optika+Simka” bundle from Ukrtelecom.
The package combines mobile service with home fiber-optic internet at speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s. Customers can receive both services as part of a single package and pay a single bill.
