The High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated a Toyota belonging to a former official of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection due to an unjustified asset
The High Anti-Corruption Court ruled that the assets of a former official of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and her husband were unjustified. The case involves a Toyota Land Cruiser 200, which was purchased for 10,000 hryvnias and later sold for 900,000 hryvnias, despite a market value of over 2.48 million hryvnias.
“On September 14, 2026, the High Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim filed by the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), ruled that the asset of I. Rusak, the former deputy head of the State Food and Consumer Service department in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast,-Kotelets and her husband, and ordered its value to be forfeited to the state,” the SAPO statement reads.
The vehicle in question is a 2020 “Toyota Land Cruiser 200.” In July 2024, the official’s family purchased this vehicle for 10,000 UAH and sold it a few months later for 900,000 UAH. However, the minimum market value of such a vehicle is over 2.48 million UAH.
The family’s official income and savings would not have allowed them to purchase the vehicle even at the reduced price. At the time the lawsuit was filed, the property had already been sold.
The lawsuit was based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and evidence gathered by a prosecutor from the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
