The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed preventive measures on the defendants in the case involving the embezzlement of grain from a state-owned corporation

Investigating judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed preventive measures on three members of an organized criminal group suspected of embezzling grain belonging to the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine.

The decision was made at the request of NABU detectives, which had been previously approved by the SAPO prosecutor.

The court remanded the former head of the state corporation’s department into custody. As an alternative, the suspect was given the option to post bail in the amount of 3,328,000 UAH.

This decision is part of a large-scale investigation into corruption schemes in the agricultural sector.

The court set the highest bail amount for a representative of a private company involved in the case. This suspect was also remanded in custody, but his bail was set at 19.9 million UAH.

A third accomplice in the criminal scheme received a similar preventive measure with the right to post bail of 5 million UAH.

As a reminder, in Rivne Oblast, the High Anti-Corruption Court increased the bail for an SBU official for his involvement in the “Amber Scheme.”

Additionally, a High Anti-Corruption Court judge ruled that there was a jurisdictional conflict in the Olenych case.
