The High Anti-Corruption Court collected more than 900,000 hryvnias for the state from the sale of a car belonging to a former Ministry of Justice official
The High Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and ordered that 909,600 UAH—proceeds from the sale of a vehicle by a former Ministry of Justice official—be forfeited to the state.
This refers to the proceeds from the sale of a 2021 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VOGUE, which was sold in September 2024 for 4.2 million hryvnias.
The court had previously ruled that this vehicle constituted an unjustified asset and ordered its value to be forfeited to the state.
Under the new court ruling, more than 909,000 UAH will be recovered from the two defendants in equal shares. The ruling may still be appealed.
