Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has received more than 4,700 pieces of power equipment
Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has received more than 4,700 pieces of equipment from international partners to restore and maintain its energy infrastructure.
During this period, 589 shipments totaling 5,600 metric tons were sent from the humanitarian hub’s warehouses to the regions. Among the equipment delivered to the regions were 3,305 generators, 257 transformers, and 190 units of equipment for electricity generation and heat supply, including modular boiler rooms, cogeneration units, and boilers.
Equipment deliveries are ongoing, and Ukraine expects to receive an additional 767 generators, 266 transformers, and 123 units of other equipment. Assistance to the energy sector is being provided by EU member states, the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Norway, and a number of other countries, as well as international organizations, including UNICEF/WASH, the International Organization for Migration, PFRU, and Volvo.

Kyiv has begun stockpiling food and drinking water in preparation for prolonged power outages and other emergencies. The city aims to prepare reserves in advance that can be used at resilience centers and to assist residents in the event of large-scale disruptions.
A new air threat alert system went into operation in Kyiv on September 6. Now, city residents will receive notifications not only about the fact that a threat exists but also about its type—drone, missile, or combined.
