Video: Soldiers from the 155th Brigade have developed a fishing rod to take down loitering drones
The crew of the unmanned aerial vehicle systems of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv, which is operating in the Pokrovsk sector, has devised a method to neutralize camouflaged drones and enemy targets while ensuring the quadcopter can return to base.
The device consists of a cord, explosives, and duct tape: during flight, the pilot guides the payload to the target, detonates it, and then returns the undamaged drone.
The main challenge of this method lies in controlling the drone as the suspended payload sways in the wind. In addition to using the “fishing rod,” the brigade’s fighters systematically intercept Russian “Molniya”-type loitering munitions to protect Ukrainian infantry.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the “Nebokray” mobile workshops for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The system is designed for the repair and maintenance of drones.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved the use of the new “General Chereshnya” FPV unmanned aerial system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
