The High Anti-Corruption Court has ruled on the case involving the Odesa Port Plant
The High Anti-Corruption Court has approved a settlement in the corruption case involving the Odesa Port Plant, which provides for full reimbursement to the state of 77.5 million hryvnias in damages.
This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
The case involves a 2015 scheme in which the plant’s products were sold at prices below market value.
In addition to compensating for the losses, the defendants agreed to allocate 50 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the UNITED24 platform and pleaded guilty.
Among the penalties are a fine for former MP Oleksandr Granovsky, as well as prison terms, fines, and bans on holding public office for the other defendants.
Some of the defendants received suspended sentences.
At the same time, some of the defendants are abroad—in Austria and the UK—and requests for their extradition have not been granted.
