YouTube has raised Premium prices for Ukrainians
Ukrainian YouTube Premium users have begun receiving notifications about a subscription price increase. The new prices will apply to both individual and family plans.
Currently, the official YouTube Premium page lists the following plans and prices:
- Individual – 179 UAH/month (previously 99 UAH)
- Family – 299 UAH/month for 5 people (previously 149 UAH)
- Student plan – 109 UAH/month (previously 59 UAH)

The changes are likely related to the platform’s rollout of the more affordable YouTube Premium Lite plan worldwide. The company’s website states that the subscription will be available in all regions where the standard Premium plan is offered—and Ukraine is included in that list.

Premium Lite was first launched in March 2025 for a limited number of countries with dynamic pricing: in the U.S., for example, it costs $7.99. As for the price in our region, no information is available yet—it’s likely that the subscription will be offered for up to 100 UAH as an alternative to the former standard paid plan.

However, the budget plan has limitations: users will not have access to YouTube Music or certain additional features, and ads are absent only in the main service format; meanwhile, when listening to music, watching Shorts, or browsing and searching on the platform, users will still see sponsored videos.
