Zaluzhny received requests from Israel and Saudi Arabia regarding defense consultations

Valeriy Zaluzhny, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and current Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has received requests from foreign countries for defense consultations over the past two years.

This was reported by NV, citing sources in diplomatic circles.

According to the publication’s sources, in 2024, Saudi Arabia approached Zaluzhny with a proposal to develop a defense strategy. In 2025, similar requests came from Israel and representatives of certain European countries regarding assistance in creating defense doctrines.

At the same time, according to sources, Zaluzhny declined these offers because he does not plan to leave the diplomatic service in London.

His media advisor, Oksana Torop, confirmed the existence of these requests.

“He regularly receives various proposals to participate in security projects and events, as there aren’t many people in the world with such a level of knowledge and experience,” she noted.

According to her, diplomatic work remains Zaluzhny’s priority at this time.

“He makes decisions about participating in various projects with this priority in mind,” Torop added.

The first Ukrainian defense plant has begun operations in the United Kingdom. This refers to the production complex of the company Ukrspecsystems.
