Zelensky responds to Trump’s call with Putin
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that he does not yet have full information on the content of the phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which, according to the Kremlin, the possibility of a rapid ceasefire was discussed.
The head of state made the remarks during an online interaction with journalists.
According to Zelensky, he is aware of certain details of the talks, including from intelligence sources, but he will not disclose them at this time.
“I do not have any additional information personally. I know just a little about what they discussed from intelligence sources, but for now, I will not speak about it,” the president said.
He added that Ukraine remains in constant contact with the US side, but details of the US-Russia discussions have not yet been shared with Kyiv.
“We will see. In principle, as I have already said, I am in daily contact with the Americans, but they have not yet shared the details of their talks with the Russians,” Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine also stated that Ukraine has no intention of abandoning Donbas and will not recognise it as Russian territory under any circumstances.
