Zelenskyy announced a response to the Russian strikes

Zelenskyy announced a response to the Russian strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk Oblast, and Sumy Oblast, stated that Ukraine will continue to respond to these attacks in a way that limits Russia’s ability to wage war.

According to him, the actions of Ukrainian forces are aimed at complicating and deterring further military operations by the Russian army.

The president said that Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia have been “on a hunting spree” targeting civilian facilities and vehicles, attacking them with FPV drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles. He also called the strike on a civilian enterprise in Dnipro “brutal and utterly senseless.”

“Russia continues its very own terrorist war against Ukraine, against Ukrainians. Of course, we will respond to Russia in a fully justified manner to all these strikes. And we are doing so in a way that primarily targets the Russian state apparatus and Russia’s ability to prolong the war,” Zelenskyy noted.

Zelenskyy also stated that the gasoline shortage in Russia is one of the consequences of the war and Ukraine’s long-range strikes:

“We are bringing the reality of war back to Russia and making it as difficult as possible for them to continue the occupation of our land.”

The president thanked the Ukrainian military for holding the line, especially in the Donetsk region, where the heaviest Russian assaults are taking place. He noted that since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has already postponed its plans to capture the Donetsk region 15 times.

In addition, Zelenskyy announced active international efforts in the coming weeks and expressed hope for positive decisions from Ukraine’s partners.

"June and July must be productive months for Ukraine, first and foremost for our shared commitment to ensuring security. We need peace."

This was reported in Zelenskyy’s evening address.

Zelenskyy mocked Putin for constantly changing the dates for the capture of Donbas.

Putin will not get a chance for a new occupation, Zelenskyy said.

A series of diplomatic appeals to international leaders and institutions, along with an open letter to Putin, yielded the desired result.
