A woman from the Khmelnytskyi region was sentenced to 15 years in prison for planning a terrorist attack

In the Khmelnytskyi region, a 61-year-old woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for treason, plotting a terrorist attack, and justifying Russian aggression. 

The woman passed information to Russian intelligence services about military facilities, infrastructure, and volunteers, as well as about her own son—a soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine—and his mobilized comrade. She received 4,500 hryvnias for each task.

In March 2025, she was recruited via Telegram, and later, for 5,000 U.S. dollars, she agreed to manufacture an explosive device for a terrorist attack. Law enforcement officers exposed and detained the traitor in June 2025 near a military facility, seizing explosive components from her residence. The convicted woman also administered a community where she disseminated Russian propaganda.

Earlier, it was reported that law enforcement officers detained a man who had been recruited by Russian intelligence services. The suspect attempted to secure a leadership position at one of Ukraine’s key energy sector enterprises in order to pass sensitive information to Russia.

Bogush, a lawyer from Lviv, was convicted of attempting to bribe a prosecutor.
