The media reported on the wealth, business, and family of the wife of People's Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko
Olga Glova, the wife of Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of parliament from the “European Solidarity” party, reported over 6.6 million hryvnias in income from business activities in the fields of data processing and web hosting.
She is a pediatrician by training; the couple has been married since 2003 and is raising two sons: 20-year-old Oleksiy, who is studying at the University of Amsterdam, and 8-year-old Kyrylo. Olga also owns real estate in Odesa and is a co-owner of an apartment in Mykolaiv. Her father previously worked as a driver for the Soviet-era “Gazprom” and, during the company’s privatization, received a stake in the company, which enabled the Goncharenko family to borrow $700,000 from him to purchase a home.
The article also notes the political background of Oleksiy Goncharenko himself, who is the son of former Odesa Mayor Oleksiy Kostusev. He began his career in the “Party of Regions,” where he actively championed pro-Russian positions and opposed Ukrainian dubbing; however, during the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, he switched to the pro-Ukrainian camp.
Now Goncharenko’s name has found itself at the center of a major scandal. Amid Russian attacks, the MP made a series of statements about his “peace plan”—the need for negotiations and an end to the war at the cost of concessions to the aggressor—which sparked a wave of outrage and even prompted the president to respond to the situation.

The “European Solidarity” faction in the Verkhovna Rada called for a complete and unconditional ceasefire on land, in the air, and at sea even before the conclusion of negotiations on the terms of peace.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia—the aggressor state—rejected the possibility of halting long-range strikes in the war against Ukraine at the Valdai Political Forum in Moscow. He called absurd the proposal that Ukraine should cease attacks on Russian oil refineries, while Russia would halt strikes on Ukrainian ships.
