The 225th Regiment switches to underground command and control
A subterranean tactical and operational command centre has been established for the 225th Separate Assault Regiment. The facility is a fully fledged underground complex that has been excavated and equipped as a protected modern command post.
This was reported by the press service of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment.
The facility was designed based on the unit’s practical combat experience, lessons learned from other formations, and the real requirements of modern warfare. The key focus was ensuring the ability to maintain continuous command and control of units even under the threat of precision strikes and constant aerial surveillance.
Underground, conditions have been created for operational planning, situational analysis, battlefield command, and coordination between different forces. Special attention was also given to the protection of personnel and the organisation of rest areas for command staff.
The regiment emphasises that relocating command posts underground is not a forced measure, but rather part of a deliberate strategic approach. Under conditions of total aerial monitoring, underground infrastructure allows units to maintain controllability and resilience of command.
“Such solutions have already proven effective in past wars and are now becoming one of the key factors for survival and combat effectiveness on the modern battlefield,” the regiment said in a statement accompanying the published video.

Earlier reports noted that Ukrainian defenders halted a Russian advance near Huliaipole, and that Ukrainian forces eliminated nearly 900 occupiers and more than 500 drones in a single day. It was also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have restored control over Kupiansk.
